New Milford Youth Basketball
NMYBO is an independently operated youth program focusing on boys and girls interested in basketball. The program is managed and operated by volunteers and supports both boys and girls in New Milford and surrounding areas.
The NMYBO (New Milford Youth Basketball Organization) is a non-profit organization providing the opportunity for boys and girls of all levels of ability to experience instructional and competitive basketball in a safe and fun environment while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and respect.
The New Milford Youth Basketball program has been a major sports organization in New Milford for over 30 years. Its growth has supported basketball from the recreational player through the competitive travel players. Recent interest from young women has allowed our girls program to support a separate girls league and travel teams.
New Milford Youth Basketball Organization is the largest program (500 Kids & 95 Parent Coaches/Assistant Coaches) and most comprehensive program (Kindergarten through 8th Grade In-Town Teams, and 5th Grade through 8th Grade Travel Teams) in the Town of New Milford. NMYBO is not connected with Park & Rec. NMYBO is a not for profit operation, and our coaches volunteer their time, which allows for low program fees, a nice reversible jersey, and lots of hours playing basketball.
Looking to always increase our support and activities to include the months outside the basketball season, NMYBO has been committed to building a strong summer program. Our programs are geared for all levels of interests and skills.
Some activities which have been introduced in recent years have been:
- Summer/Spring Clinics
- Youth Summer Basketball Program
- Pre-Season High School Scrimmages
- Skills and Drills Camps
If your son or daughter is interested in playing basketball at any level contact us for additional information. We would like to make your child part of our program.
Our travel program is also supported by area businesses teaming together to support this competitive basketball program. It takes over 70 sponsors to support this program.
